About The Position

As a Security Officer Cycling Patrol Officer in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic university campus, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within an educational campus environment.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and assist students, staff, and visitors with directions, questions, and/or other location-related concerns.
  • Support Allied Universal and location personnel during alarms, medical calls, weather-related events, and/or other situations that may require a timely security-related response.
