As a Bicycle Patrol Unarmed Security Officer (Part Time Extended) in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a higher education setting. As an unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine foot and bicycle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
  • Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
