As a Security Officer Unarmed Bicycle Detail in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with campus contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and campus activity, assisting with visitor screening, directional support, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or security-related concerns observed during patrols.
  • Support a professional environment by following post orders, remaining visible throughout the location, and communicating clearly with students, staff, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
