About The Position

As a Security Officer - Bank Branch Patrol in West Des Moines, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist with access control and visitor direction, respond to reports, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while documenting observations. Requirements

Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
Be 21 or more years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to Allied Universal clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Perform unarmed patrol duties to help to deter unwanted activity, conducting regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, teller areas, offices, drive-up or ATM areas, and exterior perimeter as assigned.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, assisting with visitor and employee direction, line management, and maintaining an orderly environment consistent with site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical events, and suspicious activity, and notify appropriate personnel per post orders.
Complete patrol and incident documentation, communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision, and report maintenance or security-related concerns observed during rounds.
