Requirements

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, disturbances, and suspicious activity, and notify site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, ATM areas, office spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, damage, and maintenance concerns.
Control access to restricted areas by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or appointment information, and directing visitors to appropriate areas per site policy.
Monitor alarms, access control systems, and video surveillance when assigned, and document unusual activity for follow-up.
Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incident responses, and patrol findings in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Assist with customer flow management during peak banking hours, including supporting orderly queues and de-escalating conflicts using verbal techniques.
Support opening and closing procedures when assigned, including perimeter checks and reporting any irregular conditions to site contacts.
