As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Badge Verification in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an education location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and support access-control activities. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and completing required reports.
Communicate professionally with campus stakeholders, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
