As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Badge Verification in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an education location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and support access-control activities. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and completing required reports.
  • Communicate professionally with campus stakeholders, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
