About The Position

As a Security Officer - Badge Operations in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help support a professional, welcoming environment at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. Responsibilities include managing entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, monitoring activity, conducting routine patrols, helping to deter incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access control points, verify authorization and identification, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of construction-adjacent office areas, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-related issues, unusual activity, and maintenance concerns affecting security-related equipment.
