About The Position

As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help create a welcoming, professional environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and assisting employees, visitors, and vendors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers at a food and beverage production location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with site requirements.
  • Control vehicle and delivery access, verify shipping and receiving appointments or documentation as required, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, the business, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
