As a Security Officer Badge Issuance Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support security-related operations through professional communication and customer service. You will use technology to document activity, help deter unauthorized access, and respond to incidents while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
  • Communicate access requirements, site rules, and visitor procedures professionally to employees, vendors, delivery personnel, and guests.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, assigned areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
