As an Allied Universal Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control at entry points, greet drivers and visitors, verify credentials, and support smooth traffic flow for deliveries and pickups. You will conduct routine rounds, document incidents, and communicate clearly with on-site teams to help reduce security-related issues. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, validating appointments and/or shipping documents, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining required logs.
  • Monitor security-related systems and activity such as cameras, alarms, and radio traffic, reporting irregular activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities per site instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, trailer areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
