As a Security Officer Badge Check Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location as a driving access control professional. You will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support site personnel and visitors with strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and other access-related activity according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, restricted areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and/or unauthorized activity in changing outdoor and industrial environments.
  • Support security-related operations by preparing reports, maintaining logs, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and helping to deter policy violations through visible presence and professional communication.
