As a Security Officer Badge Access in Thomson, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will use technology to document activity, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, issuing badges or passes, and maintaining accurate access records.
  • Observe inbound and outbound vehicle, driver, and delivery activity at entry points; communicate access instructions and report unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
