As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a mission-focused environment. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned office areas, building access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and shift activity documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and first responders while helping to support a controlled and orderly work environment.
