Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining readiness to serve in an armed post.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document incidents, complete required reports, and support staff, visitors, and/or first responders during security-related events and daily operations.
