Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site leadership and/or local law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, theft-related activity, and/or operational concerns, and report observed issues through proper channels while following post orders and use of force guidelines.
• Support opening and closing activities, monitor restricted areas, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter criminal activity and/or disruptive behavior.
