At this aerospace and defense location, Allied Universal Armed Officers conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver professional customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post, supporting a highly regulated environment with integrity, teamwork, agility, reliability, and innovation while helping protect people, property, and operations.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a current armed guard card or license.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a high-profile aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and/or local emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support entry and exit control procedures for restricted areas, deliveries, and authorized personnel.
• Maintain readiness for an armed post by following post orders, handling security-related equipment in accordance with site rules, and completing required reports, logs, and shift communications.
