Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while following site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals and belongings entering government facilities in accordance with established access-control procedures and applicable requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain readiness and responsible control of assigned equipment, including authorized firearms, while complying with Allied Universal policies and site requirements.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
