As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, restricted areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, checkpoints, and vehicle access areas, verifying credentials and supporting controlled entry procedures in accordance with post orders.
• Support security-related operations by remaining prepared to respond to disturbances, policy violations, medical situations, and/or other urgent events as directed by site leadership.
