As a Security Officer Armed Zone Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit property, platforms, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity, and report observations according to post orders and local procedures.
  • Support assigned operations by following weapon handling protocols, maintaining a professional presence, and assisting with crowd management, incident response, and other security-related duties as directed.
