Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patrons, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site leadership and/or public authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, retail areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify identification and/or access credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, prohibited items, and/or policy violations.
  • Support security-related operations during opening, closing, deliveries, and high-traffic periods, while maintaining professional presence and following all post orders for an armed assignment.
