As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, equipment yards, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles entering restricted operational areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
