As an Armed Patrol Officer in a tech and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms and/or calls for service, and document observations clearly. This armed post requires an armed guard card/license and an active DoD Secret clearance. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach while delivering respectful, customer-focused communication.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media and/or telecom location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders and applicable laws, escalating concerns to supervision as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assessing conditions, coordinating with site personnel and/or public responders, and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, workspaces, parking areas and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access control points, alarms and/or video systems as assigned, verify credentials for employees, contractors and visitors, and complete required reports, logs and incident documentation.
