About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Clearance Required in Mascoutah, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

• An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production and office areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify irregular conditions.
• Control access by verifying credentials, supporting visitor processing, and monitoring entry and exit points in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding security-related observations and/or ongoing conditions.
