As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document activity, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering a professional, people-first presence. This is an armed post requiring a current armed guard card and/or license.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control, security-related procedures, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifications, and documentation per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or irregular conditions.
  • Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and communication channels, then coordinate with on-site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Complete accurate reports, incident logs, and shift activity records, and support investigations by preserving observations and collected information per policy.
