Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Guard card is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Monitor doors, gates, screening points, and/or visitor management processes to help support authorized access, maintain orderly flow, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for security-related concerns, facility issues, and/or policy violations.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and/or incident documentation, and communicate important updates during shift changes to help support continuity of site operations and security-related awareness.
