Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Site Patrol in Las Vegas, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and professionalism will support a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will play a key role in our agile, reliable, and innovative team, putting people first and working with integrity to create a positive experience for all individuals at the site.

Requirements

• At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity within a government location.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities.
• Monitor access points and verify the identification of individuals entering and exiting the location, in accordance with established protocols.
• Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and provide information as needed, while maintaining a professional presence.
• Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies and procedures.
