About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Site in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a government location. This position involves driving and carrying a firearm as part of your daily responsibilities. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
This is primarily a driving post, which is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address each situation.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any suspicious behavior or potential threats to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
Assist with access control by verifying identification and authorizations as required by site protocols.
Prepare written reports and documentation related to incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
Support a secure environment by monitoring entrances, exits, and other critical areas at the location.
