About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or armed guard license as required by the client or jurisdiction.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and control entry and exit to restricted areas as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to company and site procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to the public and staff.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for armed security-related duties, including the responsible handling and storage of firearms.
