About The Position

Requirements

3+ years combined law enforcement or Military or Armed Security experience
Must be 21+ years old
Have a minimum of 3 years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a secure environment within the location.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and the public while upholding site-specific protocols.
Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents at the location.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
