Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Site in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct regular patrols, respond to incidents, and interact with the public, all while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Applicants must provide one of the following: a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffing certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to help maintain order.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
Carry and maintain control of assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or critical events at the location.
Help to deter unauthorized access, criminal activity, or policy violations by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring the premises.
Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors, providing directions and information as needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.
