Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffing certification is preferred.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when possible.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Maintain a visible presence while on patrol to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required.
Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
Handle security-related equipment and weapons responsibly, adhering to all applicable regulations and company guidelines.
