About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Site Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and professionalism will support a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will play a key role in our agile, reliable, and innovative team, putting people first and working with integrity to create a positive experience for all individuals at the site.

Requirements

At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity within a government location.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities.
Monitor access points and verify the identification of individuals entering and exiting the location, in accordance with established protocols.
Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and provide information as needed, while maintaining a professional presence.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies and procedures.
