As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding the highest standards of integrity and teamwork. This armed position offers a dynamic environment where you play a key role in helping to create a secure atmosphere for everyone on site.

Requirements

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Law Enforcement Officer License is required.
Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment while armed as required by the post profile.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential threats.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and/or the public as needed.
Monitor access points and verify identification credentials to help to control entry and exit at the location.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding security-related incidents, observations, and/or activities during each shift.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following established protocols.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to evolving situations, adapting to the unique requirements of a government environment.
