Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, remaining prepared to respond to security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, access issues, and/or policy violations, and help to deter unauthorized or disruptive behavior through visible presence and professional interaction.
  • Communicate with site personnel, visitors, law enforcement partners, and/or emergency responders regarding incidents, requests for assistance, and changing conditions at the location.
