Requirements

  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or clients while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
  • Maintain required armed-post qualifications, carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws and Allied Universal policies, and complete accurate activity and incident documentation.
