Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Screener to support a government law enforcement location. In this role, you will screen individuals and belongings, monitor access points, help identify and report security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
  • Screen visitors and their belongings in accordance with established entry-control procedures, using screening equipment and protocols as assigned.
  • Verify identification, manage visitor access, and direct individuals to appropriate locations while maintaining professional communication.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited-item discoveries, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
