As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government-related school location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness and communication across the site. Requirements

1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
1+ years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, students, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public sector education location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting supervisors, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel when needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by checking identification, observing visitor movement, and documenting security-related incidents according to site procedures.
Prepare clear reports on daily activities, patrol findings, policy violations, and/or emergency events, and assist with security-related support during school-related functions or after-hours operations.
