As a Security Officer Armed Response Enhanced Part Time in Manassas, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Possess an active DoD TS-SCI clearance.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local authorities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, data-sensitive spaces, and perimeter zones to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help support restricted area access control in accordance with post orders and client-directed policies.
  • Carry and maintain authorized armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards, state requirements, and site policies while remaining prepared to respond to security-related incidents.
