As a Security Officer Armed Protection Patrol in Hialeah, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
  • 1+ year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • 1+ year of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A college degree is required.
  • A corrections officer license is required.
  • A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
  • A law enforcement officer license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including taking appropriate action consistent with post orders for an armed patrol post.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Prepare clear, accurate documentation regarding incidents, patrol activity, and/or interactions with the public, and assist with directional support and general assistance as needed.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
