You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. This armed role requires an Armed Guard Card or License and offers an opportunity to deliver through teamwork while acting with integrity in a caring, reliable culture.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Baton Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, help maintain an orderly environment, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.
