Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies and protocols in a retail environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing proper judgment and communication skills.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter potential incidents and identify unusual activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, violence, and/or other criminal activity within the retail location.
Interact professionally with visitors, customers, and staff while upholding Allied Universal standards and client expectations.
