Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Las Vegas, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post, where you will remain visible, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

An armed guard card or license is preferred.
This is primarily a driving post.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities according to site protocols.
Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors by providing information and directions as needed.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues within the government facility.
Prepare written reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Operate communication devices to stay connected with other personnel and dispatch as needed.
Comply with all licensing and training requirements for armed security-related professionals.
