As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. This armed role requires an active armed guard card or license.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a government transportation location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, roadways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, hazards, and unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies when directed.
  • Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
