Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Tallahassee, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding to situations as needed, and delivering exceptional customer service. You'll be part of a reliable and innovative team, acting with integrity and putting people first while upholding the highest standards in a government setting.

Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and monitor for any potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly environment.
Complete detailed reports and documentation of incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed to support incident response and resolution.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and remain alert to potential security-related risks or hazards specific to a government environment.
Follow all Allied Universal policies and procedures, as well as any site-specific instructions relevant to an armed patrol post.
