As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with clear communication, strong customer service, and teamwork, reflecting Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. This post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license meeting AU driver policy requirements. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Carry authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and all applicable laws, and complete required checks and documentation.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with dispatch and/or local law enforcement as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of yards, facilities, rail-adjacent areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity, noting hazards and irregular conditions.
• Control access at gates and key entry points by checking identification, verifying credentials, monitoring deliveries and vehicles, and completing detailed reports and logs.
