Join Allied Universal on an armed patrol post supporting a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document activities, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing strong customer service. Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of security experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Pepper Spray Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a government location by following site-specific post orders, security-related procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Carry and handle authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site requirements, maintaining weapon accountability and adherence to use of force guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and public law enforcement as needed.
- Complete timely reports and logs, document incidents and/or inspections, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers and through established reporting channels.
