As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Have a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with scene control until additional resources arrive.
  • Complete detailed reports, logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy issues to Allied Universal and site leadership.
