As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall setting, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle-area patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm professionalism. You will support store teams and guests through clear communication, incident reporting, and customer service. Requirements

• An armed guard card/license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, associates, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical situations, alarms, and calls for service while following post orders and use-of-force guidelines.
• Control access to restricted areas, monitor CCTV and/or alarm systems as assigned, and communicate suspicious activity to store leadership and/or law enforcement.
• Document routine and incident activity in reports and logs, preserve evidence when applicable, and participate in required training, briefings, and equipment inspections.
