As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document activity, support staff and visitors, and contribute to a professional environment. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using verbal de-escalation techniques and following established reporting and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points by observing visitor and vehicle flow, assisting with check-in and identification verification as directed, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or hazards, and complete required logs and incident reports in a timely manner.
