About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Butler, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Act 235 qualification is required in Pennsylvania only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with staff and first responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site policies, including observing restricted areas and assisting with visitor-related protocols.
  • Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements, maintaining professional presence and readiness while handling security-related concerns.
